Pisa "Galileo Galilei" airport is 1 km from Pisa, at the centre of a complex of facilities (port of Livorno, Guasticce interport, motorways and railway links) and is strategically placed, halfway between Rome and Milan. Connected directly with the motorway network, the airport affords speedy access to all the main industrial centres of Italy.

Pisa, exit Pisa Centro-Aeroporto), the A12 Genoa - Rosignano motorway (Autostrada A12 Genova - Rosignano, exit Pisa Centro), the A11 Florence ? North Pisa motorway (Autostrada A11 Firenze ? Pisa Nord, via the junction between Pisa Nord and the A12 motorway) and the SS1 Aurelia trunk road.

Pisa airport has 4 car parks with a total of more than 1,300 long or short stay parking places. Just outside Arrivals there is a shuttle bus which takes you to the car rental companies' terminal. Pisa Airport is only 40 metres from the railway terminal, which is reached along a covered walkway. The train goes to Pisa Central Station and Florence SMN station. Taxi ranks, open 24 hours-a-day, are found at the airport exit. There is an all-day Radio Taxi service, telephone 050 541600.
The CPT bus service runs every 10 minutes between the airport and Pisa city centre. The LAM Rossa bus service crosses the city's main streets and ends its route at Piazza dei Miracoli (5 minutes from the "Ospedale S. Chiara" stop). The airport has useful public facilities for both incoming and outgoing passengers: bureau de change, bank, post office, left luggage facilities, shops, bars and restaurants, and airline and train ticket sales. There are also internet points available, with workstations for web navigation.
