Flight informations Dublin (DUB)

Dublin, Ireland, Europe

Dublin Airport is located 10 km north of the centre of Dublin; it has two runways and one terminal (with a second terminal - Terminal 2 - which will operate from 2010). Dublin Airport hosts more than 80 airline companies, low cost and charter; it is the main base of the low cost Irish companies Aer Lingus and Ryanair. Aer Arann, a regional company based in Galway, connects Dublin, other Irish cities and the United Kingdom with regular flights.

Most flights departing from Dublin head for European destinations (London, Paris, Manchester are the most popular destinations, followed by New York). The Dublin-London route is one of the busiest routes in the world and the Dublin airport is one of the busiest airports in Europe, with approximately 60 thousand passengers per day (on average).

Connections between Dublin Airport and central Dublin

The airport is located very close to the motorways M50 and M1. Arriving by car is one of the best choices, because there are no direct train connections to the airport. There are 14,400 long-term and 3,600 short-term (up to 5 hours) parking spaces close to the airport. The short-term parking spaces are located right outside the terminal access, while the long-term parking spaces (red, green and blue) are rather far. The parking spaces and the terminal are connected by shuttles (the bus that passes the closest to the terminal building is the shuttle between the airport and the Red Long Term Car Park).

Another way to reach the airport is by bus: more than 700 shuttle buses connect the Dublin airport, train stations and towns in the outskirts of Dublin.
