The Bordeaux-Mérignac airport is a French airport, located 12 km away from the city of Bordeaux. It is the eighth airport in France for passenger traffic. Passengers flying out from Bordeaux in 2006 were headed mostly to: Paris Orly, Paris CDG, Lyon, Marseille, London (Gatwick) and Monaco.

Air France, Lufthansa, EasyJet and Myair.com are the main airlines working in the airport of Bordeaux.

Information desks in the airport: located in both Terminals A and B, on the Arrivals area, office hours: 5.30 am to 11:30 pm. A lost property office is located in the Departures area, in Terminal B (to contact the office passengers must call the Chamber of Commerce at the following number: +33 05 56 34 50 11). For items left on board planes, passengers must contact their airline directly.
Terminal A and B are connected by a covered walkway.

Facilities available in the airport

Facilities included in the airport are: car rental services, taxi service (about 50 taxis are available outside the airport) and a shuttle with which you can reach the centre of Bordeaux. There is a shuttle which connects the city centre to the airport every half hour, from 6 am to 10:45 pm, from Mondays to Fridays. On Saturdays and Sundyas, from 5.30 am to 10:00 pm, every 45 minutes.

The Bordeaux airport has four car parks: P0 (patrolled, the nearest to the airport), P1, P2 (both are public car parks, but P2 is designated for long-term stays) and PR (reserved for short-term stays).
Facilities included in the airport are: a bank (Terminal A, in Departures), ticket vending machines (Terminal A and B), post office (Terminal A, in Departures), restaurants and bars, various clothes and perfume shops and a newsagent.
