Home Airlines Low cost Airline Iceland Express
Iceland Express, founded in 2002, is an Icelandic low-cost airline with headquarters in Reykjavik (Island), which from the start immediately lowered its costs by 80% in comparison to its competitors. A year later, thanks to marketing operations coordinated with the Icelandic tourism board, the influx of tourists into Iceland had increased by 150%.
The roll-out of Iceland Express began in February 2003, while the consolidation happened the following year thanks to one of the first, daily, low-cost flights on the London-Copenhagen route, which Iceland Express was able to secure using Boeing 737-300.
