Aer Arann, founded in 1970 as an airline connection between Ireland and its islands, established routes between cities such as Galway and Cork in the 80's and slowly cornered a market that nowadays has 600 flights a week, with 40 internal Irish routes as well as to the UK and Europe.

Aer Arann is equipping its fleet with ATR 72-500 aircraft in order to reduce atmospheric CO2 emissions - these models reduce the emission of polluting agents from ATR flights by 70%. For that reason, the company has twice won the "greenest air company" title over the past few years.
The main hub of Aer Arann is Dublin airport, other secondary hubs are Galway, Cork and Cardiff airports.
