Stockholm, built on an archipelago of fourteen islands, is the capital of Sweden and residence of the Swedish royal family. Stockholm is a city full of museums: the Vasa Museum, the Modern Art Museum, the Skansen (an open-air museum where Sweden is reproduced in miniature), the Kulturhuset (House of Culture) and the Globen (sphere-shaped palace of sport) are among the most visited as is the Gröna Lund, a fun park that is over one hundred years old.
