Alitalia - Linee Aeree Italiane S.p.A., founded in 1946, is the main Italian airline, with over 50% of the national market. Its headquarters are in Rome and owns Gruppo Alitalia, which includes Alitalia, Alitalia Servizi, Alitalia Express and Alitalia Cargo.
Alitalia offers passenger and cargo transport services to domestic, international and intercontinental destinations.
In Italy Alitalia services 28 airports, with 1,414 flights per week. In Europe it services 56 airports with 1,407 flights per week and in the rest of the world Alitalia services 18 airports with 139 flights per week.
