Flybe history

Flybe Group was created in 2007 with the takeover of BA Connect and several years after its original launch in 1979 under the name Jersey European Airways. It is now Europe's largest regional airline operating a total of 186 routes across 16 countries, with a total of 93 departure points. Flybe is the largest scheduled airline in terms of air traffic movement at the airports; Belfast City, Exeter, Inverness, Manchester, Southampton and Birmginham, its largest base in the UK.

The airline Flybe has partnerships and codesahres with other airlines, such as British Airways, Etihad, Air France and KLM allowing them to cover more destinations.

The regional airline's expansion plans do not end there. In early 2014, they announced the launch of further domestic and international flights from London City Airport thanks to a five year deal with Docklands Airport, expecting to carry approximately 500,00 passengers a year.
